NEMA and IP Protection for Use in Harsh Environment Applications
VarTech’s industrial computers and monitors meet and exceed several NEMA and IP protection ratings for the ingress of dirt, moisture, and corrosive agents.
These units are designed for wash-down/heavy moisture or dusty environments. They also have levels of protection against corrosive and chemical exposure. Vartech enclosures and displays are designed to meet IP65, IP66, and IP67 and NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, and NEMA 6 ratings.

Will the unit be exposed to a dusty or dirty environment, with a chance of exposure to liquids?
Select a NEMA 4 enclosure: these models are IP65 sealed to protect against dust, dirt, and liquids.
Will the unit experience prolonged exposure to liquids or corrosive chemicals during normal operation or cleaning?
Select a NEMA 4X enclosure : these models are IP66 sealed for wash-down or wet environments and constructed of anti-corrosive stainless steel.
Will the unit experience prolonged exposure to liquids or corrosive chemicals or possibility of temporary submersion?
Select a NEMA 6 enclosure : these models are IP67 sealed for wash-down or wet environments and constructed of anti-corrosive stainless steel.
