ArmorTouch displays are very durable due to their three-layer glass, film, and glass construction. Resistant to scratches, abrasions, water, and chemical cleaning solutions, they are ideal for washdown or clean-in-place areas such as life sciences locations or food and beverage manufacturing facilities.
In addition, their tempered glass overlay makes them a suitable touchscreen solution for hazardous areas. ArmorTouch displays are also well-suited for direct sunlight HMI applications.
Designed for light-duty indoor environments where gloves are unnecessary, capacitive touchscreens are often used in our ToughStation HMI workstations, which typically include a keyboard and touchpad. Our capacitive touch displays are often used to exhibit information in transportation hubs, manufacturing facilities, the bridges of marine vessels, and backend logistic systems.
Capacitive displays are highly responsive and excellent when image quality is at the forefront of customer needs.
Resistive touchscreens are made from two thin layers separated by an air gap; the layers generate a signal to the computer to identify the touch points. Designed to retain reliability after suffering impact damage, they are functional for users wearing heavy-duty work gloves, making them suitable touchscreen solutions for the mining and marine industries.
With up to 1800 nits of brightness, our units combine backlights and high-contrast filters to produce easily viewable displays and operate in bright and outdoor conditions. When combined with extreme temperature resistance, up to 158° Fahrenheit (70° Celsius), VarTech’s computers and monitors offer reliable display viewing in harsh environments.
